Winter’s Rest

This Series was completed during the Winter of 2024-5. The earthy palette is more subdued and you can feel the definite chill in the air, with the bare trees and frosty streams. It was a period of experimentation too, as I tried water-soluble oil paints, alkyd oil paints and working with oils on paper amongst other things. For this reason, many of these paintings are small in size.
